Alright, so I setup the tank and have a filter running and everything, and I put in some dechlorinator as well. How long can I wait before putting in the bacteria? And I'll upload pics after my camera charged.

I added in 6 ghost shrimp to feed the bacteria. They're eating flakes as I type. I already filled up the tank, put in some bacteria, and added everything else. I'm gonna order the figure 8 online, as no store in my area carries them.

I added gravel from my other tank.
Oh, and here's some pics, the tank looks swello.
Later if the shrimp start getting sick then I'll know if the tank is wrong. I'll also try to do a water test at a petstore i dont know

You should be monitoring the parameters so you know when the tank is cycled and ready for fish. The gravel will not be carrying an entire colony's worth of bacteria.

Oh and I do have ammonia remover. My parents said that they will get the test kit

Ammonia removers do not replace a cycled tank however, so keep that in mind.

Another thing you need to think about is having snails to feed to the puffer.
