so I'm moving this weekend...

i just moved 2 weeks ago and i have a few tanks too. I left everything in there in my 29 gal except the filter and air things. i have 7 fish in there and they all survived . they were the last things i took and the first things i set up. I got all the advice from the nice peeps here and it was all good. I also drove embarassingly slow too but you have to so they dont get swached around in there , but i kept my decor and fish in the tank.

Not to get off topic, but the problem with using a Rubbermade tub for qt is that they aren't see through. It is hard to observe diseases or weird behavior through plastic. On the flip side, the same solid color properties reduce stress. They are reliable and cheap, though I would recommend using a small glass tank for observation. Good luck on your move! You might want to add a battery powered air stone in the mix, though I'm confident you would be fine without. Otherwise all the basics seem to be covered previous. :) Take my qt advise with a grain of salt. I have a sick and dieing fish because I threw poisoned snails in the tank! I didn't bother qt because they were food, and i collected similar organisms from the same lake a couple of times every week, but man I'm biting the bullet here.
