So my FireMouths just spawned for the 3rd time in 2 Months

So yesterday, I checked my 55g FireMouth Tank and they were active very aggressive(flaring their gills at me). So I grabbed my flashlight and checked their cave and found a rock with around 200 eggs on it, I removed the rock from the tank and put in into my Fry tank, put in a tank divider to keep my 1/4" fry away from the rock.

I swear my FireMouths are worse than Convicts when it comes to breeding lol.

Great job! I would wait to remove the rocks with eggs until the fry are free swimming. Then move the fry to a rearing tank and feed the appropriate foods. At this rate, you will need to figure out what to do with so many fish!

Well my 1/4" fry are growing at a rapid rate, and should be getting big enough to be moved to a 40g grow out tank by them selves at my uncles house. Me and my uncle transfer fish back and forth all the time. Im actually growing out a 3" Jaguar Cichlid for him in my FireMouths 55g tank. Anyways, ill be transfering most of the 1/4" fry to his 40g tank, then any of the eggs that do hatch will be kept in the fry tank until they're big enough to be moved into 40g grow tank. The 1/4" ones right now, once they get around 1"-1 1/2" I'll be keeping the 4 biggest/brightest colored from them, and then selling the rest to a few people that are waiting for them.

I have been thinking of another 55g tank to replace my fry tank. As a 55g would be big enough as a fry tank and grow out tank.
