I never ordered from the infamous PI, but I used their reference pages all the time, since they seemed to be very informative and had better pictures than a lot of other shrimp sites. Now it's gone. what do you use for shrimp ID/reference?

Ya i heard bad things about ordering from planet inverts, but it was a good source of information, but some of the info was inaccurate. Make one Mellow!
I think it's just server issues. The domain doesn't expire until March, and I can't imagine that the hosting package is far off.
Aren't most of PI's articles and information user-submitted though? I'm sure you could find them elsewhere.

I always thought some of the information written are just general overview and most are even inaccurate. For shrimps, petshrimp.com is a good reference. For snails, there are plenty of sites that are good particularly German based sites. Applesnail.net is tops for apple snail references.
