So sad (Painted fish in Taipei)

I'm in Taipei at the moment and came across this at a flea market kind of place:

Shame.

They did have some nice looking plants, however, shame I can't bring them back with me.
 
They have painted fish all the time in the US... "Jelly Bean" Parrots and Glassfish are painted all the time.
 
They inject a dye into the fish. It's a carcinogen so all of those fish are doomed to die of cancer
 
Dyed fish are injected with needles (ones that are too big) and painted fish are dipped in a "mild" acid and then into the dye.... at least that is what I am aware of what happens.
