Click that.
Those are the eggs I found in the pond.
They look something like goldfish eggs, even though I never caught my goldfish spawning and yesterday some were above the water on the hyacinth leaves, and I don't think goldfish could shoot their eggs out of the water like that.
Also, go to my channel on youtube to see some new updates on the pond.
I also got pacific tree frog tadpoles from my local nursery but the fish ate them so I'll get a few again.

It's a plot, MudskipperFan. The goldfish from neighboring ponds in your area got together and decided to infiltrate. Sneaky buggers.

thats an under statment!!!

Oh, it's gone now.

Did you collect the eggs or leave them there, MudskipperFan?

Good, you might see some fry around the edges at the surface then in about a week.. or less. At least until they get eaten by the others.

I guess goldfish usually spawn around dawn, real early in the morning. Usually after some storm front passes. So it's easy to miss the actual event. I got pictures of mine doing that and was watching. I can see how all that flipping and splashing around could send some of the eggs above the water line if there were leaves up there for them to cling to. But I doubt those would have been fertilized by the male. Any eggs he could actually get to, however, should be viable.

im not going to be rude..i hope...but you say you never seen your goldfish spawn, do u watch your pond all the time?...im almost sure your kids wouldnt want to do the dirty in front of there mother, unless of course there so into eachother that they are totally oblivious that your there, with that being said most fish who spawn infront of there parents are so madly in lust that they just dont know that theyre parent/s are watching! hope you get some babies soon!

Ok, last week or so I caught an unmatured goldfish that was silver and about a centimeter in length. It was pretty unhealthy looking and it had torn fins and everything. It was found at the bottom of the pond. But today I saw another black baby fish that was floating in mid water (not like a dead fish, he was standing there) with his parents. It was really awesome. I think all of the other fish either died from being WIMPS or they got eaten by birds, cats, possums, other FURRY animals or maybe the frogs in the pond. I might sell that baby fish if anyone's interested. It's pretty strong looking and looks nice.
