Unfortunately my persian cat "Pims" got into a bit of a mess and ended up all knotted and matted. Despite my attempts at getting the knots out I had to give up and call my friend in to give me a helping hand.

Don't worry, my friend is a qualified veterinary nurse, and it was Pims' welfare that we were thinking of and it was the last resort.

Cute puddy cat (well I think so)

I have to admit she was as good as gold. She just lay in my arms whilst my friend got her with the clippers. The only time she "yelped" was when we got to the really bad bits and even then she din't scratch, hiss or bite. She is an absolute star and I'm awful, coz I was crying with laughter when we finished:lipssealedsmilie:

Now she is embarrassed. She needs a sweater.

ah man i woulda done her whole body an made her look like a lion j/k

very nice cat

I wanted to leave the fur on just her head, ankles and tail, but my friend wouldn't let me!!! She's warm enough though, she's started sleeping under the radiator!

Whats with the evil red glowing cat eyes?

i forgot to use the red-eye reduction button!!

Shave it all, you will be surprise at how nice it grows back..:) At least then she wouldn't be as embarrases by having only a bare bum..lol

I disagree with the "shave it all" crowd.

As a professional groomer, I hate shaving cats. If I can remove the matting without stripping the whole cat, I'd definitely do it.
