I like a variety, but I can say I am not listening to "Country music."
I'll second that thought for the most part, but I do like a couple of Kenny Rogers tunes from the Gambler album. OF course DH won't stay in the room for it, but his Stan Kenton drives me nuts!!

Anyone here ever heard of PDQ Bach/Peter Schickele? The guy that does this stuff has made comedy out of classical music.

I'm not much of a fan of country music either. I find most of it to be "top 40 with a twang." I can get down with some good, old fashioned, foot stompin' bluegrass though.

Mostly I listen to some classic rock, experimental, reggae/roots/dub, jam band type stuff, jazz, and acoustical.......pretty much any music that isn't engineered to appeal to the "lowest common denominator."

Finished up the day with Social Distortion. I have a compilation CD that downloaded over the past few years. Lots of live tracks. Any Social D fans out there???
I like them. Used to cover some of their songs in one of my old bands. I had a couple friends that were really into rockabilly/punk and Social D was always one of the bands we'd listen to with them.

They are playing at the House of Blues in Orlando soon. I might go. I saw them live in NYC years ago.

I'd go if they were close enough to me. Of course, I may be too old* now, so who knows.

I have all 11 :p and I'm getting the new one as soon as it comes out.
I get to go to another concert of theirs (my 4th :D) on April 13th in Vancouver.
Last time I got front row center, I'm hoping for the same this time, but don't find out for a couple more weeks!
I'm almost obsessed :) hehe
