So what are you jammin' to?

I listen to classical mostly. Anything composed before 1900 or so is good for me. I also like Bluegrass esp. Allison Krauss and 3rd Time Out. Los Lonely Boys are good as well but I don't know what category you would put them in.

No one else know of Blue Rodeo??
They aren't country, at least I don't consider it country.. :p

I like them. Have most of their albums. Great live band.
Don't seem too well known down south though. It's a shame.

Right now I have the following going in the car.
Slipknot - vol 3 (the subliminal verses)
Soil - Redefined
Mudvayne - The End Of All Things To Come (can't wait for the new album) I going to see them April 6th. Mosh Pits are great for getting all that unhealthy pent up anger out in a healthy way.

Killswitch Engaged -The End Of Heartache
Velvet Revolver - Contraband
Deep Purple - Purpendicular
Drowning Pool - Desensitized

And a homemade 70's mixed cd with Neil Sedka, Neil Diamond, Bee Gees, Henry Gross, England Dan & John Ford Coley, Michel Pagliaro, Seals & Crofts, Carly Simon and a few others from my youth that I really like that never ever get any kind of airplay here in Montreal. Not that any of the other bands that I listen to get any airplay either.

Not to trash any body's musical preferences but I saw a slipknot video on MTV once while I was channel surfing late one night. I have never seen anything more disturbing in my life. All I can do is pray that my 14 yr old doesn't get interested in something like that. Insane Clown Posse is another one.

We had the Insane clown Posse in concert here in good old Peoria IL. That was a treat. I passed the civic center going to and from work, and the sights were interenting. In the afternoon before the concert the # of cop cars, fire trucks and ambulances was quite interesting. Apparenty there was a big fight after some guys girlfriend flashed her boobs at some other guy. I'm not sure why someone decided this was a good idea, I think their promoters approached us instead of us trying to attract them. Apparently as part of the negotations for the concert the promoters agrees to pay a few thousand ( I don't remember how much now) to the city for post concert clean-up and increased police presence.

Missing Persons, Kraftwerk, Paul Oakenfold, ......

Unless you have sensitive hearing. I've never truly enjoyed live concerts - They resemble ringing ears and a headache for me, always have. I can jam with everyone else - but my Music Pastor uses me as the litmus test for volume control. If it's too loud for me it's too loud for "the crusty deacons" :D ;)

My tastes run to nearly every type of music given my mood, but today it's been The Best of Simple Minds and the Garden State soundtrack.

Garden soundtrack has got to be one of the best soundtracks ever!!! Im not gonna lie, because of that, i have

Frou Frou - Details and additionally
Fleetwood Mac - The Dance
Bodeans - Go Slow Down
John Mayer
Dave Matthews
ColdPlay

Right now the Beatles are playing on my ipod... Pepperland to be exact... I just redid my ipod last nite!! I only have a mini, so I can't have ALL my cd's on here, like my hubby has on his big one! I added TONS of beatles, billy joel, dave matthews, and a bunch of '80's rock ballads (like ballad of jayne, you don't know what you've got till it's gone) - hubby has a playlist and I copied it... and to think I was actually leery of getting an ipod for christmas!

Just curious?

What exactly did you find so disturbing? Was it the halloween masks they wear, the video itself, the song?

I ask only because I personally don't see how this is any more flambouyant than Britney Spears teaching 9 year olds to go out half naked or some of the more radical hip hop bands that preach and talk about how they killed people and pimped out women to get where they are.

I am not trying to be a smartass here nor am I taking your comment personally. I am truly just wondering what you found disturbing
