Currently a Stay-At-Home-Dad with no children. But hopefully, in the future, I plan to still be a Stay-At-Home-Dad with no children.

:p: Let me guess...your fish are your children...or should I say, your "babies" LOL!

I am a house painter. Though I don't do it that much anymore, just enough. My wife is a professor, a medievalist. We have shared the kids responsibilities for the last 17+ years. Boy girl twins. I play a bit in the stock market.

Depending on colleges I may be over employed again very soon.

Registered Nurse. I currently work in an outpatient surgery center assisting with colonoscopies & EGDs (upper endoscopies). I love this job. For me it beats working in the hospital setting hands down. No more call, nights, weekends or holidays. :D Hello to the fellow nurses on the board :hi:

hi Virginia

Registered Nurse here too. work in an ER for a small community hospital. just changed jobs from a city hospital ER. been doing 12 hour shifts (three/week)for the past few years. dont know if i could go back to working 5 days a week again.

Retired after way too many years in IT. Now I'm a full time volunteer and fish keeper.

I'm a full time student; Biology w/ a fisheries concentration. I had a good part-time job in pharmaceutical research but the place closed down, so I'm currently in the market for another one.

Dave, I did 12 hour nights for several years. Felt like a zombie ALL the time. It's like constant jet lag. Then I worked 12 hour days. Yeah working 3 shifts was great, but I'll never go back. Another nice thing about outpatient is when hurricaines come our way, we close down. A few years ago I had the pleasure of being holed up in the hospital for a few days. Not fun. Last year when the hurricaines came through we closed up shop & went HOME. Ok the pay isn't as good as the hospital, but money isn't everything. I HATED my last job. We're also usually well staffed. The hospitals I've worked at were always scrambling to find enough nurses. At one point they were offering double & triple pay to get people to work extra night shifts. Where I work now we get comments all the time about how happy everyone seems. Well that's the great thing about nursing, there're so many different types of places to work.
