So, whats your REAL job?

Currently, I'm a stay-home-mommy, and just like the Peace Corps, it's the toughest job you'll ever love! :thud: :coffee2:

Prior to my current gig, I was a 401k plan support rep. I helped companies set up and maintain their 401k plans, answered compliance questions, occasionally held open enrollment meetings, etc... Anything to do with their 401k plan.

After my youngest starts school, I'll break out the nylons and dust off the pumps to return to office life... Probably back at my old company in Financial Services again! :)

Hey Vetro, you've got to be pretty young too, if you don't have to worry about work for 10 years!! Or just lucky??!?! Oh well, any good advice is well received here, be it from an 8 year old or an 80 year old :thm:

I never really consider what I do now a job. It's hard to take what I too seriously or I loose my touch, creativity or worse case, my motivation. 6 years ago, I walked out of a very good paying job without any notice or discussion with my family. I can't say I never looked back but I never went back ;)

This is kind of a milestone for me, I thought it would be cool to share with you all.

Scroll down to Neil Blackwood ;)

After working with Benchmade for 2 years now, they OFFICIALLY added me to the designers list on their website. I've always been part of the team, in the ads, on the brochures, at the shows, etc. but seeing it on the website just kind of smacked me in the face!! For a knifemaker, being included with this group, involved with this company is the ultimate.

Making custom knives is a labor of love. Designing factory knives that function as intended AND SELL is a challenge. I work about 12 hours per day, double that before shows and quite a few weekends, however........... After 20 plus years of working as a machinist I sure as HECK don't miss it!!!

I'm a local lumber truck driver. Easiest and best paying job I've ever had. Back up, unstrap, pull a handle and drive away. :D It's not always that easy but that's the basic jest of it.
