So... where are you all going to vacation this year?

Going to Halifax on May 27th.

We had booked and paid for our flight on Jetsgo. Fellow Canadians know what that means. Jetsgo recently went bankrupt. Luckily we had charged it on Mastercard, so they will reimburse us. Rebooked Air Canada.

A bit of a vacation, just a week. Husband's family is out there. We're staying at his aunt's cottage to save hotel $$... The biggest reason for going is to see the headstone of my husband's mom's grave. She died a couple years ago but the headstone was just recently purchased. Want to see what we paid for. My husband was out for the funeral, but I haven't been to Halifax since 1988. I hope to find some new floaty pens for my collection.

I'm heading for Florida on the 7th of this next month to visit some friends. Hopefully going to hit St. Augustine cause they have or had at least, a shop that caters to my other hobby of collecting swords/daggers. Worth going to Florida all by itself in my opinion.

I am also planning a trip to the Grand Canyon in May for my birthday. Always wanted to go there and I only live about 9 hours away!
I want to take my family to your neck of the woods, Domms. My wife and I always say we need to go to Salt Lake City and tour the church stuff there.

Leopardess... flying will be fine! the only thing I hate is the TINY seats! At least on Continental... ohhh they hurt... You will have a great trip... no worries..
I have not had a real vaca since our honeymoon to Cozumel three years ago... I usually play hooky from work by going on my hubbys business trips to Vegas and other environs...

In a couple weeks, he has a trip to South Padre Is. That used to be my second home, so I am looking forward to it! I hope to hook up with a fishing guide friend of mine too.... I could use a good fishing trip!

PS Toulmne.... I used to go to Portland all the time as our parent company is based there....go to the rose garden! You won't regret it.. The warf is pretty cool too... just avoid the restaurant out in / on the water... ohhhh wormy fish!

Camping on the California coast, a trip to Lake Tahoe and a trip in December to Disneyland...and I always go on a an adventure trip with my son every year..I'm thinking the Modoc - north eastern California area..ancient lava beds and beautiful lakes!

Vacation? Vacation? We just bought a house so vacations that involve travel or lodging costs are out for a while

Other than a few days visiting family in Connecticut I think I'll be vacationing on my front yard installing a walkway :D

There is this lucky girl at my work, who is going backpacking across europe for 6 months. , and she is leaving on april 19th. Now the really lucky part is one of her friends phoned her at work lastnight, asking if she wanted to go to New Zealand this friday, all expenses paid (her sister was supposed to go but is having problems with her pregnancy). She was in the same room as me when she got the call, and she could be heard saying "will I be back in time to pack to go to Europe?" I wish I got phone calls like that at work :( I am not getting a vacation for a long time... just bought within the last year, a car and a new computer for each of us, all new furniture and appliances for our appartment, 4 aquariums (assorted sizes), and we just finished renovating everything. Yeah it makes me sad. Even had to postpone my honeymoon cuz "my ring cost too much". My mom just shakes her head at me saying "your just a kid..."
