so where should I get my plants from

I have been away from this site for a while and I want to start a planted tank. where is the best place to order plants from? I am looking at crypts and java ferns and other easy to keep plants. Thanks.

It seems like the good plant places change from time to time. any help would be appreciated!

One of the moderators here sells plants so I am going to look into that shortly.

here in the Classified section and also at TPT forums swap & shop and APC forums For sale and Trade. you get really good deals from members on any of those

Where in Bay area are you from?? Tom Barr (plant Brain) is from around here too. I can give you some crytps to start with, and a Java fern too.


PS--IMO there are three very good plant stores in the SF Bay Area.

My personal favorite store in Colorado was clsoed today, so i picked up some Anacharis and a few randoms at petco....
True, pricei s nice...

But h alf of the Anacharis i got practically dead!...Blegh.

All the best plants I've gotten came from here. My LFS sells unidentifiable algae encrusted stumps in pots (no exaggeration!).

90% of the time I have gotten plants online (even on here) they have showed up dead.

I get them at the LFS
