bought 3 gouramis on Sunday and 2 have died.........the third is looking healthy!!! hes eating, swimming around lively and doesn't look bothered with my mug looking in on him!!!!!!! could he have nibbled the poor other two to their sad demise? I say this because they both had split tails ? any ideas please? all tests result ok....ph nitrate nitrite the only one i havent tried is hardness.

What kind of gouramis? And what size tank did you put them in? How long has it been established? Any other tankmates?
could be that the fish that did die were just stressed from the whole process of trip home. The split tails could have been from the net when they were caught to be put into the bag.
I don't know but something was definatly wrong. Chances are they already had something from the store and the third guppy may have it too. There are alot of possibilitys, though.
