They had the doors built and shipped to me in less than a week.
the shipping was a bit high IMHO, but they where the only ones who could match the type of wood I used for the cabinet.
What a beautiful stand! Better than store bought IMO. Just wondering though, why the green paint inside. Is it just because you had extra laying around or is there a specific reason?

Well, on the last stand I did it was kind of a pain to stain and poly the interior, so I figured a good exterior latex would provide the moisture protection and look nice all in one application. I picked the hunters green color because it really looks nice against the dark stain when the doors are open.
The top color I picked because I had some extra door paint laying around from a door install a couple of years ago. I might put a coat of the green over the door paint as I really like how it looks.
The other thing is no one ever sees the top once the tank is on and the inside is only seen by myself and because these areas are painted there was less prep work and I was able to use the less expensive one side sanded plywood, which is about half the cost of Oak veneered plywood.
I only used the 1x4 pine because it was easy for me to cut accurately with just a miter saw. You could do a stand exactly like this using 3/4 inch plywood for the sides and back, I only didn't do it that way because it's a bit more difficult to cut big panels and I didn't trust the local lumber yards to cut it for me.
