Setting up a new 75 gallon tank with Fx6, AC110, and Ziss (just because I happen to have one). It will be in my living room, so I want to keep it bright and beautiful (not brackish). Considering adding just one larger fish, maybe some bottom dwellers if compatible, but not necessary. Other than an oscar, what would you recommend?

I'm going to suggest either a blue acara or maybe a Jack Dempsey (regular or electric blue). Both species are pretty in a mostly blue way & alone, pretty people friendly.

I'm with the not a fan of flowerhorns group...& some get quite large! There's no real rule on how big they might grow, they can be different genetic mixtures from what I understand...

Oh boy! There are a lot of fish that can be kept in that one. If you like color, the Blue Dolphin Cichlid:

You have to have your parameters right, and keep them right, the Discus is a nice fish for sure:

Hap's are great, if you want an open swimmer.

Peacocks, Haps, or if you really want to get wild....
