I currently have a 100g tub style tank. I am running an Rena Filstar XP3 filter(which I love). I am running 2 watts/gal of light. I am using gravel with laterite on the bottom 1/3 of the subtrate (4 inches total) and use liquid fertilizer. I put in a very large driftwood scene which I intend to grow moss and java on. I am going more for a south american biotope look so I already have a lot of swords and cobomba(even though they say it requires bright light I had success in my 55 tub with just 80 watts total). I also have ludwigia planted. My question is two fold. The first question is about foreground plants. I am looking for a species that will carpet form and would best suite the look and parameters of my setup. The second question is about CO2. Since I am only running 2 watts/gal of light, will my plants really benefit from the CO2 injection or would the CO2 be waisted? If I only needed a small amount of CO2 will the yeast setup be enough or should I go with the pro setup anyway. Any advice about these topics and other plants I could add would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
