Ok, now I have my reef tank all sorted I like to concentrate a bit of time on my freshwater tanks, main one being my cichlid tank. Due to being at work I cant access my photos so here is a link to the photo section with my cichlid tank on it:

http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147664

The current stocking for my tank is:

1 Neolamprologus leleupi
1 Pictus Cat
1 Pseudotropheus sp. "Acei"
1 Neolamprologus pulcher "daffodil"
1 Lamprologus brevis
2 Synodontis multipunctatus
1 Pseudotropheus crabro
1 Melanochromis joanjohnsonae
1 Pseudotropheus sp. "Daktari
1 Melanochromis auratus
1 Pseudotropheus sp. "Elongatus Chewere"
1 Pseudotropheus socolofi
1 Albino Metriaclima callainos
1 Protomelas sp. "Steveni Taiwan" (Taiwanee Reef)

I'm looking at changing this but I'm not sure which direction to go in:(

The fish I would most like to keep off the list are:

1 Neolamprologus leleupi
1 Pictus Cat (I have had him for so long I wouldn't like to part with him)
1 Neolamprologus pulcher "daffodil"
2 Synodontis multipunctatus
1 Melanochromis joanjohnsonae
1 Pseudotropheus sp. "Daktari
1 Protomelas sp. "Steveni Taiwan" (Taiwanee Reef)

This is open to amendment depending on what adivce I am given as I dont know which direction to go in. If you need any more info on the tank please ask. Tank size is 50 gallon and I am about to start my water changes using a mix of RO/tap water as my tap water nitrates are 40ppm and phosphates 2

I'd say the new list looks good, between the less aggressive malawis and not too timid tangs it will be pretty "peaceful" (considering).

I'd also keep an eye out on socolofi, crabro, callainos and auratus from the original list.

How are the fish behaving now?

All these fish have been in the tank for just over a year and all went in as juvies within a couple of weeks of each other. Out of all of them:

The Socolofi has been battered and is recovering from having his entire tail chewed off.

The Crabro is the biggest fish in the tank and one of the most peaceful and always has been, just sticks to his little area and gets chased about by the Daktari

The Daktari and Cobalt are the worst 2 for the occasional punch up and every couple of weeks have a big lip locking session

The Auratus is a bit of hit and miss, will spend weeks fine and then a couple of days chasing everything but usually gets chased down by the Pictus which is when he stops for his 'peaceful' time

Other than that they all get on pretty well , there is the odd chase if one fish tresspasses anothers stomping ground by it's about a seconds worth of activity

Oh and the Lamprologus brevis is called nipper due to the fact that whenever I'm cleaning the tank he always catches me by surprise and gives my hand a nasty little nip, also attacks the syphon!
