i was thinking getting 2-3 peices of black paper and taping it, of course ofter being sized. do youthink that will work?

at pet smart the solid black backgrounds are quite cheap mine loogs pretty good i like the glass it has. tanks look nice though good job

For one of my tanks I used Christmas gift wrapping paper. Was worried that it might get wet and rot, but so far, so good. Plus it's kind of neat to have a fish tank with big snowflakes in the background.

hey i noticed that you have a top fin heater in your 15 gallon tank. Have you had any problems with it? I have two of them and BOTH of them make these wierd noises, and the red light always flickers. Also, little bubbles come out from the bottom of the heater. I don't know if i just have bad luck with these two, or is it normal

nope havent had any problems yet. but its only been set-up for about 2 months. ill let you know if something goes wrong
