I recently went to my lfs to pick up some feeders, worms, and pellets.
While I was at the counter (where all the feeders are) I noticed that a small goldfish was swimming around in the ghost shrimp tank. I was awestruck.
This comet goldfish was almost all blue (the shade of blue you see on calico's)with a couple of small black markings, and a white belly. Also, both eyes were all black. I had to have this lil guy.
Here's the thing, I don't have any tanks large enough to house him by himself for a long time, so my only option is to keep him with my tropicals in the 180g.
I know I've seen pics of goldfish in tropical communities on these forums, but I also know it's not the best conditions for them.
So has anybody raised a goldfish in tropical conditions? Temp in high 70's?
EDIT: I'm not sure how rare an almost all blue goldfish is, but I know I've never seen one and the only thing that comes close are blue orandas, but they are more grey and almost always have orange or brown pigment in them.
Thanks in advance,
Serg
