The good news:
My severums spawned!!!! Their first spawn, they are each about 5" long.
Actually, a couple questions. What is the success rate of a first spawn?
Most of them seem to be fertalized, just a couple arent. They had kinda messed around before, she was swimming around dropping eggs, and the other was picking them up and eating them. I also have an 18g tank that will be empty as of later today. Would that be enough room for the fry? And, a followup question to that, when should you seperate the fry from the parents? Do they care for their young?
Then the sad news:
I am leaving for college today, and the only fish I am able to take with me is my 10g peaceful tank, and my male jaguar cichlid.
In the 'peaceful' tank, there is:
3 threadfin rainbows, 1 black calvus, 1 moonlight gourami, 1 clown pleco. I have to leave this one at my grandparents house, as im only allowed one 10g tank in the room. At least till my room is bought out.
Anyway, thank you for checking this post out; any and all answers are appreciated!!
