I installed a couple of banks of LEDs in order to create a spooky night look for my tank.

I like the effect. Difficult to photograph though! He're a shot with the LEDs and the standard tubes on as well:

Awesome looking tank, and it just gave me an idea...

Instead of placing them in 2 groups and pointing them straight down, could you place them in random groups, all pointing the same angle? It would look like moonlight streaming through the branches.

Hi - that was my original intention. I wanted to angle the beams so I could achieve refraction; the problem I faced was that the LEDs wer not really strong enough, but I have an idea; watch this space.

Cool, how do you clean that slate gravel?

I have a gravel vac that does the job; it's powered by an air pump. It works well.
