sup everyone.
well im just planning on add some fish to my new tank. It is 53gal and i already got 3 green terror which are about 4-6''in, 2 blood parrot which is about 3''in. i also added a flowerhorn 4 days ago and it is doing fine with his mates, the flowerhorn is about 2''in. and 2 pleco
i got a XP2 filter and 2 corner filter running. also a large mountain as decor.
so i am planning on adding a couple of fishs in and what do yu think is suitable?
red devil? convict? jack Dempsey? cichlid?
anything that will fit in and will not get beat up or eaten.

Your 55g is only big enough for the one green terror on it's own, a flowerhorn will need a 75g to it's self. You are going to need a 180g tank just to be able to keep the cichlids that you already have, please do not add any more.
What plecos do you have? A lot of plecos will grow to large for a 55g tank.

i thought FHs got to more than that? thought more around the 2ft mark?

well im guna give u a little bit of advice, well not advice but definitly take it in to consideration.
iv got 2FHs one male one female. male is 4" just and the female is 3"
the male succesfully killed 4 of my fish in the last 2 days. :mad2::swear:
a 6" talking catfish, a 8" gibbiceps, a 5" tyrannochromis and last night i found my 2FT PLEC with his eyes nibbled out and in a state where he was panicking and bashing the lights at the top of the tank. he had no skin left on his head. he died 20mins later.
all of them died of internal bleeding...now im not sayin ur FH will do that, but i thought i had a couple more months before they got their aggresive streaks (apparently not) so make sure u have lil emergency tank JUST IN CASE. :headbang2:better safe than sorry as i just found out

thx for the advice guyz....
yeah i guess im not gonna get any more fish...
maybe get a bigger tank too =)

Whether the OP needs to take 'em all back depends on what size the fish are right now - can get away with a grow out tank for some time depending on that.

I'm going to move this over to Cichlids for some steers on what tank size is required to maintain them as they mature/when mature.
