Some pics of the goldies in my newly 'scaped 29g

My fiance loves that fish. So much so in fact that when we noticed he is actually missing his front left fin (you can see it in the photos) we still decided to keep him. The missing fin doesn't seem to affect him much though. The bigger problem is that his eyes are so big and stick out so far that he has a hard time seeing the food. I have to kind of feed him separately otherwise all the other fish devour it before he has a chance to find it. Hopefully he will grow into his eyes and develope some better vision.
 
Thanks for the comments everyone! :thm: Your feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm fairly new to the hobby as I've only had this tank for about 9 months, but it's already become an obsession. I can't wait to finish school so I can move out of this apartment into a house where I can get a much bigger tank. For now, this 29g has been a been a great stepping stone into a fascinating hobby. Unfortunately, as most beginners do, I didn't do enough research before getting the tank, as we were quite anxious. Now I'm stuck with too many goldfish in too small of a tank. If only there were a way to convince my fiance that a few of them mysteriously disappeared...

Here's what the tank originally looked like. I wanted to go with something that looked a bit more natural and less cluttered. I figured the light colored sand and rock with a black background would really help set off the fish's colors.

Beautiful, the new setup is definitely nicer than the other. I am partial to a more natural look myself as well. Looks like you are well on your way to become a goldfish addict like me :evil_lol:
