Some sad news..

well, as many of you know..my grandfather has been in bad health for some time now..

this morning at around 11:30, his crippling pain, and suffering ended.

he had been battling this cancer for 5 years, and in my my faith..he won this battle, as he gets to be in heaven with the lord, and his mother who he holds dearly to his heart..as well as his old war buddies who where killed in world war 2.

i will mourn the loss of him, but i will be strong for him..as i know where he is, and i know he is no longer suffering. i'm happy that this did not come as a shock..and that we live just across the street, and could see him at anytime we wanted.

he was a warrior is many ways, and he will never be forgotten

May he rest in peace with the Lord. I am glad to see that the suffering is over. My father died of cancer as well, but about 10 years ago, so I know it's a hard way to see someone go. I pray for comfort and peace of mind for your family because even knowing he will be in heaven and you'll see him again, you will still miss him. *hugs*

My sympathies are w/you and your family. Losing a loved one is never really easy, but as you say you must take comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering and is with The Lord now.
