Hwews what I have in my 55,and i'm happy.

you might be but I don't think your fish are or will be much longer.
I hope you plan on a larger tank in the future.

55 gallon:
1 oscar
1 jack dempsey
1 midas
1 convict
1 african(name unknown)
1 pleco(common)
1 catfish(pictus)

Back to the original post convicts, sajica, HRP, jack Dempseys, Firemouths and related fish, Texas, Jags, Midas...... a lot of fish will go with the GT so Just look for something that will not out grow the 100 and won't be too agressive with the GT.

What are the measurements of that tank?

well their in my 55 but that wasent my quote........im putting that fish and a green terror in my 125 that's almost set up......im just trying to figure out if thats a red terror or not?

and yet still noone has answerd my question......i posted a pic ...can anyone tell me if its a true red terror or not?

that looks more like a midas, but is for sure either a midas or rt.

Its very hard to tell when he is that young. I had a red devil that was dark green with black stripes when it was young. As it gre older, it lost its orginal color and turned into the orange color that red devils usually are. My fish didn't change its color until it was more than double that size.

I would say, take the pet stores word for now. Most larger cichlids like red terror and others are cared for about the same way. So I would just raise him as cichlids commonly are and see what he turned into. Right now he's camofaluged and isn't showing his adult colors. Whatever cichlid he is, he is likely to get a lot more color as he grows older.

The dot on the tail is a signature terror mark. Look at an adult:

But cichlids do dramatically change colors. It seems the pet store may be right, but to be sure you wiil have to wait till he is an adult.
