i hav a tank thts been runnin for about 2 mths now. every thing seemed to be goin ok until i started getting this type of algae on my plants and driftwood. on the glass its brown and comes off pretty easy and feels slimy. the algae on my plants looks like either thread algae but im not sure cause its brown also, and i thought it was supposed to be green. any one know wht i can do to get rid of this stuff...ive been cleaning and and vacuumin but in a cple days the stuff just grows back the parameters are:
ph: 8.0
Ammonia : 0
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : 5
also is there a safe way to lower the ph and keepit stable. thx for the help
