She has not moved in over a week. I sniffed her she smells normal. I hear dead snails reek. But the other fish are trying to eat her and when I wiggle her door she doesn't suck in. She isn't falling out I shook her a bit. Her door is just loosely closed. I guess snails can get sick. Would fish meds even work on a snail?

The snail died. I guess she was sick or hurt somehow.

so how do you know if they are dead....curious....so when i get some i know what to look for

they lose hold on their trapdoor..
the water may start stinking a bit... ammonia spikes, etc..
you see fungus growing out of the shell opening.
if you pick it up, the snail comes out of the shell
it will smell REALLY bad outside of water.
it will foul your water beyond belief.. so if you do have a dead snail, start the water changes.

It wasn't holding on to the door when I wiggled it then I went on vacation and when I came back the shell was empty.

2 fancy calico fantails, 1 weather loach, another apple snail that would always be mating with now dead one.
