I saw a white spot on one of my Angels pectoral fins. Actually one spot on each of the left/right pec. fins. They appear to be of different sizes, but about the size of ich - especially the one on the left. Nobody else has anything. My LFS said that Ciclids can show calcerous deposits on the pec. fins during growth spurts. Could it be this? Also, they nip each other once in awhile. The right hand fin shows a little damage as well as a spot on the boney(?) part of the fin. It's hard to see unless the light hits it right. The spots have been there for 3 days at least. My temp. is around 78-79 degrees, if it is ich and according to the life cycle, shouldn't it have dropped off by now? I don't know what it is, but it's something, so I started to add salt a couple of days ago. I'm up to .8 tsp/gal. right now and I'm going to run up to 2 tsp./gal for a week or so just to make sure. If it's ich that'll kill it before it gets going, if it's fungus, I've had pretty good luck with salt for that also. Anyone have any ideas or comments. I'm looking for something to ease my mind I guess.
