something weird in my tank!!

I currently have about 75-125 black convict fry that are about a week old. Yesterday I started noticing that there were about 5 small white fury balls floating in my tank and now i just noticed 1 large ball sitting on top of one of my plants. Does anyone know what this is? Is it part of the yolk sack? Is the mother still laying eggs? Thanks in advance for your help!

That's not a lot for us to go on. Can you post a pic? It could be a few bad eggs, some dryer lint that made it's way in there, fungus, a dead fry.........on....&..on?:help:

sorry i just tried to post a picture but my computer is too slow to up load it sorry it looks like about a 1/3" hard ball with about 3/4" of white fur on it. do you think i should just pull the plant out of the tank and wash it off?

Yup, good idea. Take 'em out and hope they don't come back. Did it feel hard, or just looks hard? It could be a dead fry that has started to grow mold/fungus is my best guess(the white "fur" discription helped).

i will just wash it off of my plant and the rest off the sponge on my filter. Thanks for your help.
