song suggestions?..

Tom Waits- Hoist that Rag (I am not an elitist my dad got me into him when I was 12)
A.C. Newman - Miracle Drug (This is the guy from New Pornographers)
Star - Liars in Love

these are all phenomenally great

Time to broaden your horizons:

Jazz, Blues (too lazy to check sp at this hour, but):

Saxophone Collosus (John Coletrane, Sonny Rollins)
Brubeck, Waller, Getz, Herbie Hancock, Ernestine Anderson

Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, BB King, Lightning Hopkins, Memphis Slim...

There wil lbe *something* you like among these artists and you'll end up seeking out more.

For more ideas, check the Blues & Jazz shoe playlists at KDHX.org (radio).

A lot of good names there... You missed Buddy Rich!

Judge you should AIM me at F50kar.

D Double R, Opeth is so great in concert if you haven't seen them already! Even if you have they are still amazing and the new CD is really good.

I am loving the new raconteurs album, and am going to see them next week :headbang2:. Love Jack White and nearly everything he's ever done. New Gnarls Barkley isn't bad, the roots album could be better. If you like instrumentals, ratatat is really awesome, as are the old standbys rjd2 and dj shadow.

Where's the Chick Corea & the Eldktric band?

Maybe some Ted Nugent?

The Tractors...

I listen to everything too..

Oh man, I had forgotten about Ted Nugent! lol,

i don't know if anyone remembers green jelly( o) but man, i forgot how much I dug their stuff, and blood for blood:) !! wow, i even dug up some sepultura and some testament, Iron maiden, ..wow, I almost forgotten about them all!!

Ok, this is completely off what everyone else has suggested....but you need some good R&B songs as well, maybe some Avant, Genuwine, Jagged Edge, you gotta have a little Mary J, you have to have some though!
