can you use well water instead of ro/di?
i have a whole house sediment filter, a double one, could i stick a carbon refill in the second one? just for tank refills etc?

also, with salt, do you have to use the same brand each time? wondering about sales etc, also which brand is better or worse?

can i get by with out a sump, and just live rock and maybe a 350 mag and hob with powerheads?

trying to keep costs down,..

haven't started yet.. trying to figure out the best way for me,...and tank..

would like some kind of anemone easy keeper kind and feather dusters etc, pretty things what kind of light watts do i need, on either a 90g or 75?

what is the best temp? and salinity, i have a refractometer for use..

i hope to get this underway soon, but didn't want to rush things yet as i'm trying to get the freshwater tanks downsized...just not fun no more..just seems like work now need to try something new...

about how much money per month do one usually spend for monthly mantainence? is it cheaper for a smaller tank? perhapps a 55 for 30L ? instead of larger..
what % water change does one make for routine changes per week or month? maybe that will give me and answer for size.. cause that a lot of salt..

In terms of anemones, I think you will need a T5 HO light or better (like metal halides). The easiest I've heard/found to keep are the condy anemones or the rock anemones.

Not a good idea, to many total desolved solids and unknown possible contaminates, that that it won't work but it could one day crash your tank.

Yes use the same salt each time, most are happy with reef crystals but it is a personal choice

Sure just make sure you have good flow and a decent skimmer.

t-5 would work if you used a lot or kept the nem up top, otherwise MH is the way to go on a tank that size

I keep my reefs at 78-80 and a SG of 1.025

30L would be nice, less salt and lighting would be cheaper also.

10% weekly, not really all that much in salt, maybe 5 bucks a week for a 100 gallon tank

Hope that helps
