i have a 60 gallon with 2 pictus, 1 brown knife, 1 dinosaur bichir and 1 angelfish. could i have some kind of south American cichlid (not an angel) in that tank? if not any other stocking suggestions?

:feedback: i would like to get some fish today

I hate to say it but more angels would be your best bet IMO. That or a severum but your tank is pretty stocked for that size. Your really limited because of the poly, no small or medium fish (but poly are awesome) :D. Salvini stay fairly small, have you looked into them?

A blue acara might work in there. Your pretty much stocked though with what you have.

A 60 gallon is far to small for any species of bichirs and a knife fish, the knife fish uses Eco location and for whatever reason every time Ive kept a knife fish with any cichlid (besides discus) I've ended up with problems eother the knife fish try to eat a smaller cichlid or the cichlid best the crap out the knife, and this was in a 125gallon tank. I wouldn't add anything else into the tank yet. And be ready to upgrade soon! Oh and on a side note how big is the bichir? If it fits in there mouth they will eat it come morning, so if you do add any cichlids make sure they can't fit in it's mouth.

Dinosaur bichir is more than likley a Senegal. Which is fine in that tank, and with those fish. A brown knife is also fine,in that tank, with those fish. This is assuming they are all juvis.
