After several days of research I've decided to try Southdown caribean play sand as a substrate for my newest reef.

I've read about the dificulties some of the users are having finding the sand at home depot stores east of the rockies.

I had some shipped to MS from WA at no extra cost by a store here.

If you call your locazl homedepot and tell them you need this item they may do it for you.

The info I gave was

Aragonite Sand

SKU # 578-819
UPC # 0-210026-16865-5
Model # 420-100

Help

I'm 50+ min away but after you consider the cost of a live sand bed this is definately a trial I'm willing to experiment with.

the sand is great the only problem is it isnt gonna be avaible much longer the sand is actully used as a ingredinet in cement the cemet companys are changing the sand alittle cause they know pple are using it in aquriums i have 100 pounds of the sand in my tank
