After reading a very inspiring thread on another forum I am going for a DSB aquarium.
The word is that Home Depot is the carrier. Well I called every Home Depot in Alaska and most of Western Washington and no one carries it. Is there somewhere else I can get it? (on-line maybe?)

I have a nice 150 Gallon that I plan on setting up. I'd kinda like to know what else, specificaly, is necessary to maintain a natural DSB filtration system. I'll chekc out the stickies and other posts as much as I can to find out, but, if someone has a quick list, it would be much appreciated.

I really like the idea of all the critters in the sand and the lack of mechanical filtration.

I guess I would like to know some easy starter fish too, I checked out the 'what not to have as a noob' thread already.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!:D

i used sand from wal-mart that was made by old castle. there was a thread about it earlier and it seems to have worked well for me. as far as maintence, all i have done is siphon some of the excess debris once a week or so. my snails and crabs seem to do a good job of stirring the sand. as far as fish go, it depends on what your gonna do, reef, fowlr or aggresive/predator tank. if you have made that decision im sure theres plenty of peeps with lots of suggestions for the one you choose.
