Southeastern Asian River Tank

Nice tank! I might make mine like yours

thanks. everything was fairly cheap to start this tank expecially since i was given the tank and xp1. the goby has been the most expensive and now I have 2. A blue and gold. they look great and clean algae. there 16 bucks a piece...

Btw to anyone wonder about setting up this tank or what I feed. its a mix of omnivore flakes, shrimp granules, and algae wafers. these are all mixed up well in some RO water then put next to the shrimp in the powerhead he gets his fill and all the other stuff floats by him. all my other fish pick off the mixture in the current before it gets into the rocks. The high current helps alot 2 as the particles will make several trips around the aquarium and back into the powerhead to be pushed on the shrimp once more. this way of feeding has helped keep the aquarium spotless.

Cool tank! How about some loaches? (yes, I love loaches!) Sewellia lineolta maybe or sidthimunki come to mind. Love the goby! & the shrimp looks great too!

I have river rocks from the great lakes but are you near the ocean? Lots of rock hunting possibilities if you are...It adds a fun dimension to a day at the beach. Also check landscape places, Home Depot-like etc.

Can't go wrong with java fern on wood or a clump of crypts near some rocks in an Asian themed river if you want more plants.

I needz to find a dwarf loach!!! they look so cute lol
