This is Patoloco's time! Last year, while I was studying japanese, I almost drove my sensei crazy because I did my writing with spaces among the words.
In japanese, the combination of kanji (symbols that describe an idea) and kana (native japanese characters) is enough to let you know when a word begins and ends, but I was too dumb to understand (or sometimes just liked the look of the angry teacher).
However, it's true you can tell one word from the other when you know the language, but when you are trying to find a word in the dictionary and you don't even know which one is the first character, you'll have a very rough time.
And, lastly, spaces make the text look better. Imagine a house where the table, chairs, the sofa, and the stove where all side by side. It might be functional, but just look plain ugly. Even worse if you stuck your 15 gallon tank inside the oven. :idea2:
We have no spaces beetween words when we speak. That's true, but when we are talking, we normally help ourselves by the use of or hand movement, facial expressions, voice modification and many other external simbolism that completes the idea we are trying to comunicate.
I know this is a funny thread, but I had to share my idea here. Besides, how would you sell a rockwithpurplestring? Looks awfully horrible for a marketing campaign.
