Sparkling Gourami's Spawned

This is the second time my sparkling gourami have spawned. Last time I couldn't get the fry to survive. I lowered the water a inch or two below the filter output. I heard lowering the water level helps there labrynth organs develop properly. But they are so tiny I think feeding them is the problem. I bought frozen baby brine shrimp but I can't tell if they are eating them. Any advice on feeding fry that are this tiny and keeping them alive to the point of being large enough to sell maybe. I know a few people have been looking for them lately. I will try to get pics later, but pretty much it looks like a bunch of tiny tadpoles just hanging in the bubble nest with there tails dangling underneath.

you need tiny live foods, infusoria vinegar eels, they have tiny mouths
mine ate all the pest planaria in my tank, then they got eaten by all my dwarf cories unfortunatley, they need super tiny live foods

First of all, a big congrats!!!! I had a trio before, they only lasted for about a month.

Make sure that the air temperature above the water is identical to the water temp. It will help prevent defects when the labyrinth organ is developing. They do need tiny live foods. Infusoria is typically recommended as their first food, followed by BBS.

They are actually under the water, they picked this spot on the bottom of the eclipse filter intake. It's like a flat circle and that's where they are sitting about a inch below the water level. Will this cause a problem developing the L organs? I heard the spawn once a month so I plan on moving them to my 10 gallon QT tank next time around since it's much easier to handle then the eclipse they are in now.

They always build bubblenests underwater. The L organ won't start to develop until 1-2 weeks. How exactly did you get them to spawn?

Oh, I have a Dwarf gourami in my 29 gallon tank and he goes into the plants and always builds a bubble nest at the surface of the water. The sparkling gourami actually have theres under the water a couple inches.

By accident pretty much. I didn't try anything. I just have a planted 3 gallon eclipse as a cherry shrimp tank. Decided to get some little fish to go in there. My girlfriend liked the Sparkling Gourami at the LFS. We picked up 2 and all of a sudden we are watching them mate every time they are done the female pops out a egg the male grabs it and jams it into his bubble nest. A week later there are fry in the nest. We didn't even condition them or anything, just flakes and whatever they eat from Ken's shrimp sticks.

First food for bubble nesting Anabantoids should be green water. The culture will contain single cell foods in a variety of sizes which will get the fry through until they can take bbs. If you're feeding frozen bbs I would suggest that you use frozen Cyclopeeze for a couple of reasons. First off it's more nutritious, second off you get alot nore for your money. A block of frozen bbs is mostly water while Cyclopeeze is basically a solid block of food with minimal water.
