Ok.. I did something stupid, I went looking for a male betta, ok i saw a cool one ok so i buy it...... get home put it in my 5 gal, compare him to the femail that i wanted to breed him with, WOW, lol my femails prob like 1-1.5 years old, and well the male looks around the 4-5 mounth period, The femail is almost 2x the size of the male, Is it posible for them to spawn? Or do i have to go femail hunting?

you need a new female..or you can put him on a very good diet with good filteration and heat so he'll grow..thats what I did with my HM's.

Hm, i wish my lps would order them.. but i think moose jaws got some... but i aint want aint old betta :( o well

most bettas you get from any store are around a year old..if you are serious about breeding them buy then online,candycat21 has beautiful bettas..
check www.aquabid.com

The pet store that i get the fish from get new stock every week, they are definatly not a year old, + i cant order online, i only got a P O box, The fish would all die.

well your screwed :joke:
try to find a new male,or ask your lps if they can special order females for you.

Generally speaking, you'll want the female to be slightly smaller than the male.

I got my mom to get me a femail and its Tiny, ther is almost no color.. even tho you can see a bit in the pic ther isn't much ther, the worker said that they were all this size when they came in, This was also the only one left.

How old do you think that little femail is of mine?

Really hard to say, because bettas' grow rates can be vastly different. You can force grow them to full-size in 3 months, or they can take up to a whole year to fully mature.

I have a 5 mo. female that is almost the exact same size, but that amy or may not mean anything at all.
