Spaghetti Worm

Anyone ever had one? I swiped one from my LFS, my friend owns the store, and this thing has gone back and forth accross his invert holding tanks for three weeks, so I said I want it!

Anyhow this thing is awesome, body is about 5 inches long and its tenicles ( about 30 ) are about 8-10 inches long, never seen one before but it's always nice to get a cleaner for free, especially that which is more unusual. Looked neat when I took it from the tube it made.

Yeah, he is a pretty good size, first one I have ever seen actually. This is him out of a tube :

Terebellidae (Spaghetti Worm)

The terebellids are surface deposit feeders, using their long tentacles to reach for food particles on the sediment. The extensive tentacles on the anterior end give this worm its name, and when the tentacles are seen snaking out over the surface of mud, they are unmistakable. Their tubes are made of mud and mucous, but are generally not as obvious as tubes from other worms such as Arenicolidae or Chaetopteridae. The body is usually green to brown.

Unusual to say the least, gotta love that live rock import stuff!
