I had an easier time reading Matak's jumble than I did Kveeti's!

I don't know why! I think because Matak's is just mispelled words, while Kveeti's is the wrong words.

Hmmm....

Heh, I felt the same way. I think it's based on iconography and such. If I read "eye" my mind instantly recognizes it, processes it and where ever in the brain these thing are processed it opens the little filing cabinet with body parts and goes to an eyeball. If I see "I", it does the same, but searches the pronouns and finds me. Reading a word that we know to be correct "eye or I" vs a misspelled word that we know to be correct "eey" we don't have to deprogram the iconography that the brain does on a totlaly invisible level to us. Now, this would apply to advanced readers. Basically our minds decode in a way we just don't see or even realize.

Now then, show Matak's post to a first grader who is still learning phonics and vocabulary and they would have a very different experience trying to sound out Matak's post and trying to make heads or tails of it.
