Spiders as food?

pollutants travel a long way in my opinion pollutants are everywhere nothing you can do to get away from them lol we learned in science class that they actually found traces of DDT (highly toxic insecticide which is now illegal) in penguins in Antarctica!!

OK, if the fish start scaling walls and shooting webs from their fins...I'll get really worried.

I'm not very concerned about chemicals. We don't use any insecticides around the house or yard...kids and dog and cat and indiscriminate use of poisons don't mix. We're not clean freaks either, so there's no beach, ammonia and other noxious cleaners all over every surface. Mostly what there is some dirt (from lack frantic of scrubbing) and bugs (from lack of insecticide).

As long as a little spider once and a while won't choke the fish or make them sick, I won't have to yell at my husband about this.

If you feel comfortable feeding them the spiders, go for ir, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. If you must feed your fish insects you might as well buy some pinhead crickets from the local reptile/pet shop.

my oscar used to LOVE the occasional daddylonglegs. it was quite comical when i got a big one for him when he was little, and the legs would stick out of his mouth.. :)
