I have a Chilean Rose Tarantula Blue ...the little ones I catch around the house are cool, but they get fed to the carnivorous plants...bwahahahaha

when my family first moved into our house, there were spiders EVERYWHERE. you could not sit on the couch for a minute or two without a spider crawling out of the cushions towards you...it was sick. thank god they're gone now...
the only two things that haven't left are those crickets that bettagurl has and those insane centipedes that VF posted a pic of! i really don't mind any of the crickets or lady bugs that come in during the winter, but if it is one of those house centipedes or a spider, it is getting flushed. the crickets and lady bugs get off easy with just a toss outside lol

Blue, everything I've read on my tarantula forum says pine is deadly for spiders, something in it, and NOT to use it anywhere around them... Maybe you should sprinkle some all over haha
It seems that the people horrified of spiders are the ones who find the most, my arachnophobic brother has found more than I ever have, one going in his mouth as he woke up.
You know the average person eats 9 spiders in their lifetime while sleeping? They like the moist, warm air coming form your open mouth, and your reflex is to swallow when something is in your mouth, while sleeping, you have no control over what it is you're swallowing. Nice, eh?

i'm terrified of spiders if theyre within 3 ft of me(unless they're in a terrarium of some kind), even if theyre the size of a dime but i dont have the heart to kill a member of the animalia kingdom. if one gets too close or is on me i run around screaming and shaking till' it falls off, then try to catch it in a jar and let it go out side. spiders are our friends 'cause they eat annoying pests like yellow jackets and flies...

Just had to share this..

Well, today, sitting in the same spot, with a short sleeve shirt on I feel something crawling around my arm pit stomach area, so I look thinking it was a hair caught in my shirt and low and behold it was a small spider. After about strangling myslef trying to kill the spider and take my shirt off at the same time, I finally killed it.

As they seem to like your arm pits, maybe you can replace your 'Lady Mennen' underarm deodorant with 'Raid'.
