Hi all.
I have a shubunkin, who's about 3 years old in a 48 long tank. He's never had any diseases since I've had him and shows no external signs of anything, but recently he has started doing what can only be described as loops, and spinning quickly and un-controlably...Usually when I go up to the tank. He has also been tilting on to his left side when swimming, especially when the light isn't on. When not moving he tilts into an almost vertical position.
He is still eating. I suspected a swim bladder problem, so he's been treated with swimbladder anti-bacterial treatment, has been fasted for 4 days and has been on a diet of peas and daphnia. He hasn't shown any signs of recovery.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing the spinning. It's quite violent and he's started hitting into the glass and bogwood.
