I just got my sponge filter from ebay, there are no directions what should I do?(other than google of course, you all know better all the ins and outs!)
just attach your airline tubing to the filter... and stick it to the inside of the tank.
You can squeest the sponges while its under water water to get all the air our of the foam, and make it sink.. otherwise it will try to float..
Idealy you want the tube to be below the surface ...
adjust the airflow however you like it...
More air, more filtration... less is less...
when you have never used a sponge filter there is no such thing as common sense! I can understand if I was using an HOB that would be obvious but a sponge filter is completly different. Thanks to the users that helped didn't follow the leader!
