Stand and sump construction

Thats true, but me and my dad bought the stand and tank and canopy all as a set. So he doesn't really want to get rid of it cause with everything that matches, but I haven't used the canopy for the tank cause of different lighting. But due to the limited amount of space I have this shall be a interesting project. =)

Oh this sump was the one I WAS going to use with that stand I had built, but I can't. Just showing some pictures of it.
The lid was to hold the Coralife 9" PC light.

So guys!!! Remember when I said I was still going to try to set up a sump. Well here it is!!! I mean its the basic set up anyone would do. Nothing like Niko DIY hehe. But what I have here is a Micro sump from Truvu, Remora skimmer with a MaxiJet 1200, Marineland heater, Mag 3 return pump, Coralife flourestant light 6700k, Live rock, Macro algae, and a Choco star in there.
I have a Lifereef hang on overflow box, but if anyone could help me out with this; the overflow is gurgling water. When it gets to the back of the overflow where the water does down to the sump it gurgles down the hole. Does anybody know what is wrong? Shown below. Enjoy!!!

one solution that may help you here is to take a length of air tube..like what comes with maxi-jet powerheads and slowly insert it into the exit hole of the overflow box..as you slowly insert it, you should find a sweet spot that stops the gurling, then just tape it in that spot..You may need a good few inches of pipe to do this, but, i know it has helped a lot of people in the past...

The new setup is looking really good mate...keep the updates coming...
