Standpipe flow?

What do you think would be the best way to plumb this to get water back to the tank?

i got the 1262 just so you know, and its the return line to the aquarium in question here...
would this work, or no?

That would work just fine for your application. Just remember to include a ball valve somewhere along the way, since you won't need the full power of the 1262. Excellent pump choice--you won't be disappointed with it.

Oh, and don't forget to use hose clamps . Been there.

where can i get a ball valve that will work with this application? is that something i can get at home depot, or will i have to order that online?

You should be able to find it just fine at Lowe's or Home Depot--whichever is more convenient. I know my local Lowe's has more plumbing parts, etc. than any of the local Home Depots. If you are in a bind on finding the right pieces, you can order them online. What you'll need will vary with what sort of plumbing material you decide to use.
