stange question about moss

Would ordinary garden moss grow/survive/be safe for an aquarium (tropical?)

the moss is small stems with little gren clumpy soft spikes.

Strange question, i know, just interested?

It would probably do well in a palludarium ( have aquarium and half terrarium). But I can't imagine it would survive underwater for very long.
