Could some of you please name me some starfish that i could add to my tank that won't eat corals, polyips, hermit crabs or snails. Thanks!

Linkia are great but avoid them as they are super delicate and rarely survive acclimation. The serpent star is a great critter, though a bit reclusive.

Any star that isn't knobby would PROBABLY be a safe tank addition.

Depends on the individual, I guess. Ours dashes around the tank at dinner time and can be hand fed. Amazing for an animal without a proper brain.

Most Linkias can grow large (12") which is too large for the average sized tank specially from an asthetic point of view. Remember that they need to be fed although they don't put anywhere near as much biological loading as a fish. I have also been told but have not been able to confirm that Large Linkias can be aggressive grazers capable of striping coraline algae (not something you want)

For small tanks Fromias are a much better choice generally staying down at the 4" size

My blue linkia has been doing great for about a month or more.
Its even growing its leg back that must of broken off not long before it was collected and shipped.
He does move over the live rock, and he probably is grazing, but he definately doesnt leave trails of desctruction or anything. I have seen quiet a few kept in reef tanks, so they cant be that destructive.

They do get pretty large, so i wouldnt look at keeping more than one in a decent sized tank.
