I am starting my build tonight. I am picking up a 37 gallon tank (30.25x12.5x22.75 are the dimensions if it is a standard sized tank, not sure haven't seen it yet)
My plans are as follows
Split the tank in 2, ~15" for each side. I have the plexiglass and the sealant for this. I plan to make the water side 8" deep. This should give me about 8 gallons of water. i have a filter/waterfall combo I will be putting in the water part.
no fancy backdrops for now don't have the $$
On the water side I am going to put some guppies and or neon tetras and a algae eater of some sort.
I currently have 2 anoles and 2 firebellies (in a 15 gal tank, no problems with the mix in over a year). I was thinking about moving them to this setup BUT I saw a tokay gecko at the store yesterady and man are they cool.
My main question is would you rather have a setup with fish and one big lizard, or a set up with fish, 2 frogs and 2 lizards? pros and cons of each, other animal suggestions are welcome as well.
any other tips before attempting this build are appreciated.
